Its subsidiaries, including EfficientIP Inc. in the United States, EfficientIP UK Ltd and EfficientIP PTE Ltd in Singapore, process data on its behalf within the group.

What personal data we collect

Identity and contact data you give us, such as your name, company, job title, business address, telephone number and email address, when you request a demo, trial or DNS exfiltration test, download a resource, register for an event, webinar or training, apply for a job, or contact sales or support. Account data for the customer and partner portals, including your contract number and login credentials. Technical data collected automatically when you use the site, such as IP address, device and browser details and the pages you visit, subject to your cookie choices.

How we collect it

Directly from you, through the forms on this site, portal registration, support cases, job applications and your correspondence with us. Automatically, through cookies and similar technologies described in the cookies clause below. From our subsidiaries and authorised channel partners when they pass on an enquiry, a deal registration or a support request that concerns you.

Why we use it, and on what legal basis

To perform a contract with you or take steps you have asked for, such as providing a trial, a download, support or training (GDPR Article 6(1)(b)). For our legitimate interests in responding to enquiries, securing our systems, measuring how the site is used and sending business-to-business marketing to professional contacts, from which you can opt out at any time (Article 6(1)(f)). With your consent, for non-essential cookies and, where the law requires it, for newsletters (Article 6(1)(a)). To meet legal obligations such as accounting, tax and responding to lawful requests from authorities (Article 6(1)(c)).

Cookies and tracking technologies

The site sets strictly necessary cookies to run and to remember your consent choices. With your consent it also loads analytics through Google Analytics 4 via Google Tag Manager, advertising measurement through the LinkedIn Insight Tag, and visitor chat and tracking through Zoho SalesIQ. Non-essential cookies are set only after you agree, and you can change your choices at any time from the Consent Preferences control. The full list, with each cookie’s purpose and lifetime, is in the Cookie Policy (EU).

Full detail sits in the Cookie Policy (EU), and you can change your cookie choices without leaving this page.

Who we share it with

Our subsidiaries, for sales and support in your region. Service providers acting on our instructions as processors: website hosting by Kinsta Inc. in the United States, customer relationship management and marketing automation on Zoho, with a migration to HubSpot under way, the Docebo learning platform for the DDI Academy, and the analytics and advertising vendors named above. Authorised channel partners, where you have asked us to involve one. Public authorities, where the law requires it. Where data leaves the European Economic Area we rely on the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision, including the EU-US Data Privacy Framework for certified providers. We do not sell personal data.

How long we keep it

Enquiry and marketing contact data for three years after your last interaction with us. Customer account and contract data for the life of the contract plus the statutory retention period, which is up to ten years for accounting records under French law. Support case data for the life of the contract plus three years. Job applications for two years after our last contact, or sooner if you ask. Analytics data for the periods stated in the Cookie Policy, with Google Analytics 4 set to a maximum of 14 months. When a period ends the data is deleted or anonymised.

Your rights, and how to exercise them

You can ask to access, correct, erase or restrict the personal data we hold about you, to receive it in a portable format, to object to processing based on our legitimate interests, and to opt out of direct marketing at any time. Where processing is based on consent you can withdraw it without affecting what was done before. Under French law you may also leave instructions about your data after your death. Email privacy@efficientip.com; we reply within one month, extendable by two months for complex requests, and may ask you to confirm your identity first. You can also lodge a complaint with the CNIL, the French supervisory authority.

How we protect your data

Data is encrypted in transit using TLS, access is limited to staff who need it for their role and is logged, and our hosting and processing providers operate certified information security programmes. Processors are bound by contract to protect the data and to use it only on our instructions. If a breach is likely to put your rights at risk we notify the CNIL within 72 hours and inform you as the law requires.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our services, suppliers or the law change. The effective date at the top of the page tells you which version you are reading. Where a change is material we announce it on this site and, for portal account holders, by email before it takes effect. Earlier versions are available on request.
