EfficientIP, the DDI company enterprise networks run on

We build the DNS, DHCP and IP address management software that keeps enterprise and telco networks resolving and defended. Founded in France in 2004, now operating across four regions.

What a DDI company actually does

DDI is the layer that assigns every device an address, tells every request where to go, and keeps a record of both. When it fails, nothing else on the network works. EfficientIP builds that layer as one platform, SOLIDserver, so DNS, DHCP and IP address management are run and audited in one place instead of three. New to the acronym? Start with what DDI means.

DNS, DHCP and IPAM on one platform

We treat these as core networking infrastructure rather than three tools that happen to sit near each other. One control plane and one source of truth, which is what makes the automation built on top of it dependable.

Security built into the resolver, not beside it

DNS security has been in the platform since the early telco deployments, well before the resolver became a routine attack surface. The full case for DNS security as a control point sits with the security pages.

History and ownership

EfficientIP was founded in France in 2004 to solve DNS at telco query volumes, and has spent more than two decades on DNS, DHCP and IP address management. In June 2026 the company was acquired by Francisco Partners, with TempoCap and Jolt Capital alongside.

Ownership is a fair question when you are choosing infrastructure you expect to run for the next decade, so here is where things stand.

Announcing the deal, chief executive Norman Girard said Francisco Partners’ “deep software expertise and extensive experience scaling global technology businesses make them an exceptional partner for EfficientIP”, and Francisco Partners described the company as “a mission-critical platform for organizations seeking to automate and secure their network infrastructure”. The executive team is unchanged following the acquisition. A formal statement on product roadmap, support commitments and contract continuity is to be confirmed by leadership.
